Overview

The Master Data Steward position is responsible for managing data quality for the US Demant businesses. This position manages data assets pertaining to but not limited to Customers, Products and Operations and ensures seamless flow & consumption of master data across various systems and functions. The master data steward will work closely with the various businesses on the information management requirements across systems and platforms to guide the development of information management standards in line with the target architecture.

Responsibilities

  • Sets up and performs daily maintenance of BOM (Bill of Materials) and sales items.
  • Supports product launches and decommissions.
  • Develops and maintains Standard Operating Procedures/Work Instructions pertaining to data maintenance.
  • Builds audit reports for data standardization compliance and addresses non-compliance.
  • Maintains local AMT assortments.
  • Creates and maintains local PIM (Product Information Management) catalogs.
  • Maintains territories/account managers/zones master setup and bulk updates.
  • Supports operations machine centers/teams/routings/scanning steps setup.
  • Sets up and maintains strategic partnership master framework of rebate structure.
  • Provides daily support for Retail including products, commercial terms, price groups, supplementary item setup in AX and Pinnacle.
  • Delivers daily support of product setup and maintenance for Network businesses.
  • Performs various routine tasks including datamining maintenance and year-end updates.
  • Supports continuous improvement projects by performing analysis and data cleanup activities.
  • Fulfills ad-hoc data maintenance requests from management.
  • Maintains accurate accounting of time spent and status for all Remedy tasks where he/she is the assignee.
  • May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.

  • Personal qualifications are as follows: Organized, analytical, technical, goal oriented, proactive, team player, clear and effective communicator (written and verbal).
  • Ability to independently master assigned processes and to coordinate activities.
  • Function requires a minimum of 1 year of work experience in master data maintenance.                   
  • Familiarity with the advanced features of Microsoft Excel and/or SQL is desired.
