Overview

Work from home as a TeleAudiologist!  We are seeking a TeleAudiologist available Weds & Friday 8-4PM PST (Arizona Time) with hearing aid sales experience.   Additional opportunities are also available.

 

Your Hearing Network (YHN) is renown as a hearing healthcare thought leader in the realm of telehealth.  As a TeleAudiologist, you will provide full-service hearing care (evaluate, treat, counsel patients with hearing disorders) by using YHN’s innovative method utilizing audio-video interactive conferencing technology.  It is a ‘live’ experience with your patient, conducted remotely from your home office.   Both patient experience and treatment outcomes are equal to or better than in-person appointments.

You will work in conjunction with an on-site Facilitator, who will remain with the patient during the appointment.  The Facilitator will perform activities that assist in completing the appointment successfully under your instruction and guidance.   Additionally, you will collaborate with the YHN TeleAudiology team members to discuss how to best meet patient care needs.

  • Partners effectively:  Team approach with Facilitator for a beneficial patient experience, as well as, collaborating with the TeleAudiology team to support the program.

Responsibilities

  • Completes full hearing assessments using the appropriate testing method and equipment to identify type and degree of hearing loss
  • Committed and encouraging consultative interaction with patient to purchase and use hearing aids when candidacy is determined
  • Dispense hearing aids in accordance with standard practice guidelines. Consult with patient and family members of use and care
  • Engages in the electronic Office Management System to make appointments, document appointment outcomes, complete medical report, complete order documentation, accept payment, document payment transactions, document appointment outcomes, etc.
  • Completes insurance referrals, documents, portal processes, etc., to utilize hearing aid benefits when applicable
  • Interacts with Facilitator frequently throughout patient appointment to ensure a best-in-class patient experience

Qualifications

    • Master's Degree and/or Doctorate of Audiology.
    • Extensive functional and technical hearing aid product and service knowledge.
    • Minimum of 2 years of relevant hearing health experience dispensing hearing products, providing patient care, and fitting digital hearing aids.
    • Arizona Audiology license preferred or willing be licensed in Arizona
    • Ability to be credentialed for insurance benefited programs when applicable
    • Office space in the home or another local accommodation (approved by management) that is suitable in space, high-speed internet capability, and low environmental noise
