The Sr. Dir., Pricing is a new role directly reporting to the Chief Operations Officer, Demant North America with dotted line to the VP Finance. The Sr. Dir. Pricing will be responsible for the ongoing development, execution and leadership of Demant’s strategic pricing function and all critical customer and contracting decisions. This leader will develop and lead the internal processes required to ensure maximum profitability for the enterprise, as well as be an objective partner to make cascading, cross-functional decisions.


  • Develop US market access, pricing, and promotional strategies in close partnership with Sales/Marketing/Commercial leadership
  • Guide and utilize detailed financial analyses and high-level pattern recognition to drive performance is required
  • Influence and align complex groups of stakeholders towards global while leveraging regional/local business objectives
  • Conduct customer (payer, provider, patient) value assessments to identify key market specific drivers and barriers to develop differentiated value propositions, inform product launch and demand generation decisions
  • Build and maintain pricing models that translate key performance indicators (KPIs) and test revenue projections
  • Understand and guide business requirements for critical systems – related to product pricing and administration
  • Strong team player to effectively partner and work well in a cross-functional, global environment to build support across a complex set of senior stakeholders
  • Dive in deeply to customer, competitor and market pricing models and quickly get up to speed on the existing pricing models
  • Lead the analysis and collaborate with product, finance, sales and other global teams to translate research into compelling pricing strategies
  • Form strong, trust-based relationships with Global Leadership Teams and other senior stakeholders.
  • Self-starter and strategic thinker with demonstrated ability to implement strategies based on competitive dynamics, economic goals, and customer needs


Bachelor’s degree required, MBA preferred

  • A minimum of 15 years of experience in Pricing, Contracting, Finance, or related fields is required
  • Experience with Sales, Analytics, Marketing, and Finance teams is critical
  • Knowledge of payment flows, price/vol/mix analysis, managed care contracting, and margin improvement
  • Proven track record of collaboration across matrix organizations to influence, implement processes and drive complex change.
  • Possess extreme attention to detail; is thorough, accurate, organized, and productive and seeks to understand both the cause and effect of a situation.
  • Possess the tenacity in pushing projects forward.
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority.
