Demant covers five business areas:  Hearing Care, Hearing Aids, Hearing Implants, Diagnostics, and communications.  e3 Diagnostics is part of the Diagnostics Division and is seeking a Service Technician to join our team in the Canton, Michigan office, this is a part time opportunity.

 

The successful Service Technician will be good at fixing things, enjoys traveling and working directly with our customers. 

 

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain customer relationships and provide unparalleled service and technical support
  • Perform calibration, maintenance, repairs, and installations on a wide range of audiology and biomed equipment
  • Perform software and firmware upgrades to existing biomed equipment
  • Meet or exceed all sales and service goals in assigned territory
  • Maintain accurate records of customer contact and equipment
  • Keep product knowledge current and attend all required training
  • Work with minimal supervision and is responsible for making an established range of decisions, escalating to management when necessary
  • Negotiate contracts and pricing
  • Ability to travel 80% of the workday with potential for some overnight stays

Qualifications

  • 2 year technical or engineering degree, or related experience required
  • Experience speaking and/or selling to customers or medical professionals
  • Proficient in updating and troubleshooting software problems
    • Experience in networking and providing hardware support required
  • Must be able to obtain and keep certification through the National Association of Special Equipment Distributors (NASED)
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to maintain clear driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check as well as any customer-required screening requirements
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds as required throughout the workday.
