Overview

Hearing Screening Associates is a full-service company that offers an all-inclusive service for the hearing screening of newborn infants. HSA provides services for all aspects of newborn hearing, beginning with personnel and testing, to equipment and supplies, to reporting and billing; our goal is to be the premier Newborn Hearing Screening company. 

 

Director of Sales is responsible for managing the sales team of Regional Account Managers, Inside Sales Representatives, and Sales Coordinators. The Director manages all existing newborn hearing screening (NHS) service contracts with hospitals throughout the US and negotiates new contracts with individual hospitals and hospital networks. The Director has overall responsibility for NHS equipment sales as well as the associated supplies and HiTrack software contracts.  The Director establishes and executes sales and marketing strategies both for screening services, HiTrack, supplies, and equipment sales.  The Director’s role is to develop long-term account relationships with hospitals and neonatal departments, providing sales and support services to our hospital partners as well as to other NHS service provider companies. 

Responsibilities

  • Develops and executes sales and marketing strategy to expand customer base and maximize existing customer potential to obtain market share within Newborn Hearing Screening product markets. 
  • Implement a strategic business plan that expands company’s customer base and ensure its strong presence. 
  • Achieve growth and hit sales targets by successfully managing the sales team 
  • Own objectives and goal settings, coaching and performance and metrics monitoring of all sales representatives. 
  • Present sales, revenue and expenses reports and realistic forecasts to the management team. 
  • Identify markets and market shifts while being fully aware of new products and competition status. 
  • Manage relationship between Maico and HSA. 

 

Additional Responsibilities 

  • Builds strong relationships with current and prospective customers; collaborating to identify needs and provide impactful solutions; responsive to customers and prospects needs; partners with internal stakeholders and departments to provide excellent customer service and support 
  • Responsible to identify and demonstrate HSA Newborn Hearing Screening equipment and related services, software, and devices 
  • Partners with Management Team to collaborate on market trends, also planning, campaign development, and execution of marketing campaigns and events, ensuring brand adherence and continuity 
  • Provides customer training to ensure proper use of all HSA equipment, products, and services 
  • Knowledgeable and informed of product developments and changes within the marketplace 
  • All other duties as assigned 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business required, audiology degree preferred  
  • 10 years of Sales experience, 5 years Sales management/leadership; medical device sales, specifically neonatal products, is a plus 
  • Understands how to build and lead high performing teams. Success in leading and engaging geographically dispersed teams 
  • Experience and working knowledge of CPT codes, Hospital organization chart, and Customer Relations Management (CRM) Software is a plus 
  • Strong knowledge of B2B contracts and BAA with partner hospitals 
  • Very strong communication and negotiation skills, written and verbal 
  • Experience delivering sales presentation, comfortable presenting information to groups 
  • Well organized and strategic with sales planning process; strong negotiating skills. 
  • Ability to travel up to 80% with overnight stays within the USA 
  • Manual dexterity, comprehension, and ability to assemble and install audiology equipment as used by customers 
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite  
  • Working knowledge of anatomy of the ear helpful.
