Hearing Screening Associates (HSA) is a full-service company that offers an all-inclusive service for the hearing screening of newborn infants. HSA provides services for all aspects of newborn hearing, beginning with personnel and testing, equipment, to reporting and billing; our goal is to be the premier Newborn Hearing Screening company.

The Medical Billing Specialist is responsible for the billing of Newborn Hearing Screening Tests, working with insurance companies and their members, process for reimbursement of claims while maintaining patient confidentiality; as per the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act of 1996 (HIPAA). This is a full-time permanent position based in our Arlington Heights, IL office.

Hearing Screening Associates (HSA) is currently looking for a Medical Billing Supervisor.

• Oversee the day-to-day functions for a group of Medical Billers.
• Responsible for reviewing patient demographic, insurance eligibility and other activity to ensure billing is captured for all patients and completed accurately.
• Monitor Insurance electronic claim billing process to ensure it is completed successfully daily.
• Stay up to date on all guideline with insurance companies.
• Assist with third party payer and other audit request, by compiling and organizing documentation.
• Train new and current Billing Specialists.
• Generate Excel spreadsheets for claims tracking and analysis for process improvements with the billing team.
• Monitors and reports to Management team on matters related to compliance.
• Analyzing data, generating reports, and making recommendations to improve billing efficiency based upon findings.

• All other duties as assigned.

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Medical Biller with a 3-year minimum direct professional Medical Billing experience.
• 1-2 years of Medical Billing Supervisory experience.
• Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, EOB’s, AOB’s and Medical terminology.
• Good judgment and decision-making skills.
• Strong ethics and a high level of personal and professional integrity.
• Computer literate and proficient in Word and Excel.
• Strong oral and written skills.
• The ability to work overtime on as needed basis.
