Overview

Oticon Inc. is searching for a Senior Warehouse & Distribution Manager. This individual is responsible for everything inside and associated with the warehouse & distribution operations. The right candidate must have experience with problem solving and Lean methodologies, drive continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost, quality, delivery, and process productivity. Position requires being onsite 5 days a week. Work hours required are 11AM-8PM.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for everything inside and associated with the warehouse & distribution operations
  • Driving continuous improvement in the areas of safety, cost, quality, delivery, and process optimization
  • Establish and monitor specific departmental goals and objectives in the areas of cost reduction and increased capacity utilization and efficiency
  • Provide hands-on direct leadership to warehouse and distribution teams in achieving departmental, tactical and strategic goals
  • Effectively challenge the team to come up with new ideas and suggest new concepts affecting KPIs on a strategic and tactical level
  • Implement and sustain lean methodologies in the warehouse & distribution area
  • Analyze and continuously improve the warehouse and distribution processes
  • Actively participate in the resolution of all shipping issues based on costumer feedback
  • Establish solid inter-departmental working relationships with Operation and Commercial partners
  • Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure FDA, GMP, and shipping compliance
  • Develop and measure operator performance
  • Strengthen the team through cross training and development of competences
  • Develop, implement and maintain SOP for area of responsibility
  • Ensure employees are trained on departmental SOPs and company policies
  • Perform manpower planning and provide for adequate staff, including hiring and discharging staff
  • Monitors and maintains staff attendance records; schedules and completes periodic performance evaluations 
  •  May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.

     

Qualifications

  • Bachelor Degree in Business or Engineering in Supply Chain and 5 years + of relevant experience in a manufacturing and/or international warehouse & distribution experience.
  • Experience supporting the medical device industry and exposure to US Customs (import/export), FDA, MDSAP, ISO and C-TPAT regulations and requirements.
  • Must have 5+ years of direct supervising experience and strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills, excellent communication, and organizational skills. Must also possess a high level of initiative and drive towards results.
