Demant covers five business areas:  Hearing Care, Hearing Aids, Hearing Implants, Diagnostics, and communications.  The Diagnostic Group is part of the Diagnostics Division and is seeking a District Sales Manager to join our team overseeing the Midwest territory. The e3 Diagnostic division of Demant is the US sales, service and distribution function for diagnostic and screening equipment and services for audiology practitioners. e3 Diagnostics is comprised of one central general office (in Arlington Heights, IL) and 25 sales and service offices throughout the continental US. This position is responsible for managing one-third of these offices and their profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage 5 to 10 e3 sales and service offices, each led by a Regional Sales Manager (RSM).
  • Motivate, inspire, and engage the team, creating a culture of engagement based upon the philosophy of company values.
  • Drive team performance through KPIs, continuous feedback/coaching and development and annual performance reviews. Responsible for the performance management process including positive discipline process as needed.
  • Create and implement strategic business plans to maximize e3 revenue and profit growth.
  • Create new partnerships with large, multi-site customers; identify/prioritize candidates, build relationships and sales with these key customers. Retain existing customers, providing unmatched customer satisfaction through sales and services performance.
  • Identify and penetrate underserved markets expanding our customer base.
  • Implement best-in-class sales practices.
  • Continually updates knowledge of competitive environment across the region.
  • Provide oversight to day-to-day management of regional e3 offices within territory, develop goals and performance metrics, recommend coaching/training, and develop opportunities.
  • Provide leadership support when necessary to overcome customer objections and sales obstacles in support of sales goals.
  • Collaborate with Human Resources and Finance to review compensation plans and market data, make recommendations for salary and commission adjustments based upon current geographical, performance and market data.
  • Responsible for aligning and reinforcing company policies, practices, and procedures.
  • Responsible for the annual budgets across the assigned region, collaborating with the RSM for the profitable outcome, frequent sales forecasts, variance analyses – recommending and implementing corrective actions as needed.
  • Communicate across local office teams, senior leadership, corporate stakeholders, and to manufacturing partners ensuring all stakeholders are informed and aligned.

Job Performance Metrics

  • Revenue and profit performance of each office to annual budgets.
  • Annual “Pulse” employee engagement scores.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing or Communications.
  • 10 years of sales experience, 5 years sales management in a healthcare environment, preferably audiology.
  • Strong sales skills knowledge, track record of developing top-performing salespeople, CRM, prospecting, pipeline management.
  • Analytical and critical thinker, numbers driven.
  • Consistent track record of growing market share.
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, ability to multi-task, resourceful.
  • Very strong communication and negotiation skills, written and verbal.
  • Great leadership and team-building skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.
