Birdsong seeks to hire a highly energetic, technical, and collaborative Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) Lead Developer who will join a team responsible for delivering and supporting world-class AEM solutions and complex integrations into Adobe creative cloud applications, CRM, Commerce, Mobile, Back Office, ESB, Analytics and Personalization technologies. This role will develop responsive front-end components and contribute to all aspects of the AEM Authoring experience including building pages in AEM, training authors, understanding website / authoring issues and enhancement requests. Additionally, this role will leverage strong technical skills in developing seamless and scalable solutions for premier engagements alongside industry experts.

Responsibilities

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Formulate an implementation plan and prepare estimates for the assigned activities/work items.
  • Solution design all elements of the implementation by working closely with an Architect where appropriate.
  • Work with development teams to implement integrated technical solutions.
  • Develop code in a timely and high-quality manner while leveraging standards including site structure, page templates, navigation, and the site information architecture.
  • Build AEM authoring components, templates, workflows.
  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable and stable web solutions that meet business needs.
  • Utilize AEM to layout pages, troubleshoot issues, and train authors.
  • Partner with Visual Design and User Experience teams to develop effective / engaging designs.
  • Utilize reusable templates and common HTML elements while leveraging centralized JQuery/ JavaScript libraries and global CSS.
  • Provide high quality documentation of work

Qualifications

PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE/QuALIFICATIONS

8+ years of IT experience with 3+ years of experience within AEM implementing

Web Content Management (WCM) and Digital Asset Management (DAM) solutions.

AEM Developer certification is strongly preferred

Key Skills - Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Experience Platform, Day CQ, OSGi, Apache Sling, Apache Sightly, Apache Oak, Adobe Dispatcher, Code Review

Other Personal Characteristics and Experience

Experience in AEM component development, workflow development and integrating AEM with other applications. Expertise in AEM and associated technologies such as Sling, OSGI, JCR.

Experience with Java technologies and frameworks.

Experience to other web technologies like Search, XML, XSL etc. Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)

EDUCATION

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or Software Development preferred
