The Warehouse & Distribution Supervisor position assists the Warehouse & Distribution Manager and supervises a staff of employees who work in the following operations areas: Shipping, Incoming Order Processing, BTE/ITE Order Processing, Stock Dispensing, Pre-packing.

 

This position will require being Onsite in our Somerset, NJ location 5 days a week. Working hours will be 11:30AM-8:00PM.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform manpower planning and provide for adequate staff, including hiring and discharging staff.
  • Monitor the workload and workflow, prioritize work when needed. Re-assign staff and work as needed, including absentee and overtime coverage.
  • Monitor and maintain staff attendance records.
  • Reporting on teams KPIs on daily basis
  • Schedule and complete periodic performance evaluations.
  • Assure fair staff salaries, request changes and recommend bonuses, increases and promotions as merited.
  • Provide staff training and maintain/update staff training database.
  • Perform ongoing staff development and evaluation.
  • Counsel staff and resolve disputes.
  • Schedule, conduct and lead meetings with staff and other departments as required.
  • Oversee the operation of all job functions reporting to this position and provide technical expertise when required.
  • Implement and maintain lean methodologies in stockroom.
  • Investigates shortfalls, issues and assist in developing and support process enhancement initiative.

Qualifications

  • Minimum a high school diploma
  • Must possess a high level of initiative and drive towards results.
  • Able to work independently and thrives in a dynamic environment.
  • Exposure to Microsoft Dynamics NAV and Excel is preferred.
  • Supervisory experience is preferred.
  • Must have an intermediate understanding and knowledge of continuous improvement combined with an analytical mindset.
  • Confidence to lead organizational change.
