Overview

Oticon, Inc., a world leader in the manufacture of advanced hearing technology, presently seeks enthusiastic individuals to join our Somerset, NJ facility.

 

The Data Entry Operators are our organization’s custom and service order processing group. Processing customer orders accurately and quickly while maintaining an excellent work flow are their most important responsibility.

Responsibilities

Performs all order entry functions from prioritizing incoming orders, creating a computer generated production ticket or service work order form, editing the order, and distribution to the appropriate work area in accordance with our standards and guidelines. Performs all order entry functions from editing the order, creating a computer generated invoice, proofreading, distribution of completed orders and filing of all documents. Supports coworkers with all work flow needs including assisting the shipping department, and ship orders to ensure same day service.

 

Enters custom new orders, custom service and remake orders, conventional repairs, and IRL orders.

  • Provide back up support for custom new orders, custom service and remake orders, conventional repairs, and IRL orders.
  • Edits, packs, and distributes all work.
  • Updates information in the computer system (warranty registration, user name, etc.).
  • Creates and maintains log for statistical purposes.
  • Maintains work flow priorities in accordance to our standards and guidelines.
  • Troubleshoots and resolves problems and discrepancies with orders and credit departments.
  • Follows up daily on orders on hold in the department.
  • Performs requirements for 5S Workplace Organization.
  • Supports customer service as needed.

May perform miscellaneous tasks/projects as directed by manager.

Qualifications

Data entry requires excellent keyboard and typing skills, speed, accuracy, attention to detail, excellent eyesight to be able to read very small numbers, and excellent judgment while working in a fast paced environment. Requires a positive attitude, ability to work independently, a well as part of a team, reliability and flexibility. Experience using Windows 95, Outlook, the Internet, and other data entry experience is preferred.
