The Senior Manager, ERP Operations & Transformation – North America plays a pivotal role in leading ERP implementation and optimization projects across operational functions. This position requires a well-rounded professional with a blend of technical expertise, leadership capabilities, and exceptional communication skills. This role will ensure seamless integration of ERP systems, aligning them with custom production, logistics, and regulatory requirements to enhance operational efficiency and compliance.
Lead the project planning and implementation in cooperation with the global project manager with an Operations focus. This includes detailed project plan development tied to key milestones and deliverables to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction, cost of operations and internal customer deliverable are met during and post ERP implementation.
Support and lead Steering Committee (STC) preparation from Operations point of view. This role is responsible for striking an appropriate balance between ensuring key operational “must haves” are communicated with operational compromise on less critical system components. The ERP Project Manager must be able to effectively negotiate when to be firm on key requirements and when to facilitate change within the operational department.
Global Collaboration: Act as the primary liaison with global partners to ensure the NA ERP solution is scalable and aligns with global standards.
Local Project Leadership: Oversee all project efforts within the SOM and TIJ organizations, collaborating with local Project Managers to define tasks, allocate resources, and drive task completion.
Resource Planning: Strategically plan and manage resource requirements and allocation for local teams (SOM and TIJ) to support project objectives.
Progress Monitoring: Track and report on project progress, including deliverables, milestones, and issues, ensuring stakeholders are regularly updated.
Effective Communication: Facilitate clear communication across global and local teams, bridging functional boundaries to ensure alignment and project success.
Risk Management & Escalation: Act as the escalation point for local teams, collaborating with the Global PM to address risks and escalations.
Go-Live Support: Coordinate local cutover activities, assess people impacts, and support testing and training for successful go-lives.
Change Management: Drive awareness and initiatives while leveraging expertise in managing the human aspects of change across stakeholders.
Process & Configuration Alignment: Define process categories, validate key configurations, and oversee critical process transformations.
Strategic Coordination: Align with the Strategic Program Organization, providing updates to the global Portfolio Board.
Cross-Functional Leadership: Navigate between operational processes and IT/ERP system design, identifying and mitigating risks while influencing stakeholders across multiple business functions without direct authority.
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Techology, Computer Science, or a related field, with a preference for a Master's degree or MBA.
10+ years of progressive experience in operational projects and process transformation.
Extensive expertise in managing large-scale operations or IT projects, with a strong preference for ERP systems. Demonstrated ability to deliver with limited oversight.
Skilled in project management, including developing detailed project plans, establishing effective governance frameworks, creating cadence for reviews, and aligning critical resources and investments to achieve project goals.
Strong ownership and accountability, with a proven ability to work independently. Adept at providing key updates, managing change, identifying risks, and overcoming project obstacles.
Collaborative approach, effectively working with global and local stakeholders across departments to align technology and project plans.
Excellent communication skills, able to convey complex information clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
