    Operations are headquartered in Minneapolis for the manufacturers and Chicago for the sales operations with regional sales offices located throughout the continental US.


    The Manager of Human Resources is responsible for supporting these client groups (approx. 700 ees) on HR related matters including; administration of HR processes and procedures, managing employee relations issues, supporting effective performance management and designing. Responsible to utilize the right analysis and tools to identify problems on organization effectiveness and work with theDirector of Human Resources to help  develop and implement appropriately tailored solutions.  This position reports into the Director of Human Resources.  Travel between the two HQ sites as needed.  Additional national travel to satellite offices as needed.   Overall travel is expected to be 10 - 20%


    • Provide guidance and trusted counsel to employees, managers, leaders and their teams.
    • Participate in the leading of critical HR initiatives (performance management, compensation planning, talent management, workforce planning, etc.) for client group.
    • Assess, develop and execute engagement strategies to address business and talent requirements for continued organization effectiveness.
    • Identify skill gaps, and recommend training and development initiatives or recruitment strategies to minimize gap
    • Facilitate and drive training and compliance-related initiatives
    • Serve as change agent by partnering with leaders through cultural and organizational shifts.
    • Work with leaders to further embed cultural norms and behaviors into the organization
    • Work with HR Director and managers to raise the bar on performance by setting expectations and managing performance through regular feedback and documentation
    • Investigate and resolve all employee relations issues and consult on matters concerning workplace accommodations, discipline, terminations, ethics and compliance
    • Drive HR compliance in both HQ and field office locations


    • Bachelor's degree required, preferably in Human Resources or related field
    • 4 years of related experience preferred.
    • Innovative thinker with experience in a rapidly transforming environment
    • Strong consulting, influencing, coaching and analytical skills
    • Ability to effectively work and communicate at all levels within the organization
    • Ability to analyze data and identify emerging trends and issues
    • Ability to effectively and appropriately toggle between strategic thinking and tactical execution.
    • Previous experience of being able to effectively collaborate and achieve objectives while working in an international/multi-cultural environment is ideal
    • Experience working to support HR-related matters with Mergers & Acquisitions also preferred
    • Experience working in Shared Services and/or Matrix organization
