    The main responsibility of this role is to assist with day-to-day transactional accounting, financial audits and detailed balance sheet reconciliations.

     

    Staff accountant responsibilities include preparing financial reports, maintain/execute various financial procedures, month-end closing, general ledger entries, detailed balance sheet reconciliations.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepares financial statements by gathering and analyzing information from the general ledger system
    • Regularly maintain detailed reconciliations of all balance sheet accounts
    • Analyze information and options by developing various reports
    • Prepare general ledger entries by maintaining records and files
    • Answer accounting and financial questions from key stakeholders by researching and interpreting data
    • Support timely monthly/quarterly/year-end financial close
    • Establish processes and procedures ensuring compliance with a focus on simplification, standardization, quality improvement and cost minimization
    • Ensure T&E compliance to internal policies
    • Resolves accounting discrepancies and irregularities

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
    • 2-3 years working in the Accounting field
    • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office (especially excel)
    • Manipulation and creation of Pivot Tables and utilization of V-Lookups & Sum-Ifs
    • Strong result orientation, pro-activity, self-motivated and ownership
    • Well-organized with ability to prioritize
    • Very good communication and interpersonal skills
    • Solid knowledge of U.S. Generally Accepted Accounting Principles and regulations
    • Excellent knowledge of accounting and financial processes
    • Attention to detail and problem-solving ability
    • Commitment to continuous self, team, and process improvement
