Hearing Screening Associates is a full-service company that offers an all-inclusive service for the hearing screening of newborn infants.  HSA provides services for all aspects of Newborn hearing, beginning with personnel and testing, to equipment, to reporting and billing; our goal is to be the premier Newborn Hearing Screening company.


The Medical Billing Supervisor is a permanent role based in the corporate office in Arlington Heights, IL.  HSA provides services, ensuring all newborn infants hearing is screened before discharge from the hospital.  This is your opportunity to make a difference, one baby at a time.   


  • Oversee the day-to-day functions for a group of Medical Billers
  • Customer service focused: excellent verbal and written communication skills with internal and external customers is crucial
  • Provide feedback, coaching, training, and development to staff
  • This includes conducting 1:1 meetings, and mid-year and annual performance reviews
  • Review patient demographic, insurance eligibility, and other activity to ensure billing is accurately captured for all patients
  • Monitor insurance electronic claim billing process is completed successfully daily
  • Stay up to date on all guidelines with insurance companies
  • Assist with third party payer and other audit requests by compiling and organizing documentation
  • Work with Billing Manager to develop and maintain KPIs for staff
  • Create and manage data associated with reports (i.e. KPIs)
  • Train new and current Billing Specialists
  • Keep Billing Manager updated on staff performance
  • Generate Excel spreadsheets for special projects as assigned
  • Monitors and reports to Management team on matters related to compliance
  • The ability to work overtime on as-needed basis
  • Other duties as assigned


  • High School Diploma/GED
  • 5+ years’ direct professional Medical Billing experience
  • 2+ years’ experience managing a staff preferred
  • Knowledge of ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, EOBs, AOBs and medical terminology
  • Good judgment and decision-making skills

  • Experience working with insurance carrier websites
  • Strong oral and written skills
