Overview

Hearing Screening Associates is a full-service company that offers an all-inclusive service for the hearing screening of newborn infants. HSA provides services for all aspects of Newborn hearing, beginning with personnel and testing, to equipment, to reporting and billing; our goal is to be the premier Newborn Hearing Screening company.

Responsibilities

The Data Entry Clerk will be responsible for the research, high levels of accuracy of data entry, working with patient insurances, and creating billing entries.  This is a permanent role is based in the corporate office in Arlington Heights, Illinois.  HSA provides services, ensuring all newborn infants hearing is screened before discharge from the hospital.  This is your opportunity to make a difference, one baby at a time.   

Qualifications

  • Responsible for entering patient demographic and insurance data into AdvancedMD (billing software), electronically filing patient medical records with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ensures compliance with HIPAA and other privacy and security policies and regulations; Maintains strict confidentiality of all patient information and records.
  • Checks completed work for errors or duplicate information before submitting into charge entry system/AdvancedMD.
  • Effectively communicates and notifies Operations Manager of changes and additions to providers/insurances in the AdvancedMD key.
  • Documents and trains on new processes and procedures.
  • Researches pending eligibility claims within State database systems.
  • Files completed work in appropriate system for easy research retrieval.
  • All other duties as assigned.

 

MINIMUM JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • High School Diploma or GED required, Associate degree in business related area is a plus
  • Previous data entry experience with proficient typing skills
  • Excellent organizational, communication, time management and problem-solving skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to understand, learn, follow, and apply processes and procedures
  • Experience with Microsoft Outlook
