Overview

William Demant Holding Corporation (WDH) is a Denmark-based manufacturer of Hearing-related products and services. WDH is comprised of multiple market-leading Hearing Aid and Audiology Screening and Diagnostic equipment/service companies. The E3 Diagnostic division is the US sales, service and distribution function for all company manufactured instruments/equipment (excluding Hearing Aids) as well as for several non-William Demant Audiology instrument companies. The E3 Diagnostics division is the leading provider of Audiology equipment and service and is comprised of one central General Office (Arlington Heights, IL) and several dozen Sales and Service offices throughout the continental US. 

 

This position is responsible for managing one-third of these offices, located in the eastern territory, and their profitable growth.

Responsibilities

  • Directly manage 5 to 10 e3 sales and service offices, each led by a Regional Sales Manager, by:
    • Continually improving team performance by conducting performance reviews and creating annual development/improvement plans
    • Providing day-to-day management of e3 offices, developing goals and performance metrics, coaching/training, and motivation
      • Intercede when necessary to overcome sales obstacles to reach goals, including personnel improvement programs as needed
    • Reviewing compensation plans, making adjustment recommendations
    • Enforcing company policies and procedures
    • Creating new partnerships with large, multi-site customers; identifying/prioritizing candidates, building relationships and sales with these key customers
  • Create and implement plans to maximize e3 revenue and profit growth by:         
    • Working with RSMs to understand each market
    • Identifying and penetrating underserved markets to expand our customer base
    • Retaining existing customers by providing unmatched customer satisfaction
    • Monitoring competitive environment
    • Implementing best-in-class sales practices
    • Developing the most productivity out of the team
  • Provide annual budgets, frequent sales forecasts, variance analyses - implementing corrective actions as needed
  • Communicate frequently with local office teams, corporate, and to manufacturing partners to ensure strong flow in both directions
  • Participate in development of market reviews, competitive assessments, and strategic plans.
  • Identify new opportunities – products, services, pricing, etc. through a continuous surveying of consumer needs, trends, and competition

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or Communications
  • 10 years of sales experience; 5 years of sales management in a healthcare environment, preferably Audiology
  • Excellent sales management experience including strong sales skills knowledge, strong track record of developing top-performing salespeople, CRM, prospecting, and pipeline management
  • Analytical and critical thinker, numbers-driven
  • Consistent track record of growing market share
  • Attention to detail, highly organized, ability to multi-task, and resourceful
  • Very strong communication and negotiation skills, written and verbal
  • Great leadership and team-building skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to maintain clear driving record
  • Must be able to pass a pre-employment background check as well as any customer-required screening requirements

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • 50-70% travel  - ability to drive for extended periods of time to reach all areas in assigned territory; some overnight trips will be required
