Our solutions benefit people with hearing loss, specialized to meet the needs of those who face the hardest hearing challenges.   SUMMARY The Clinical Trial Manager for Auditory Research (CTM) has the opportunity to plan and conduct sponsored clinical trial activities with focus on the clinical and surgical aspects BAHS implants and in the future other auditory implantable devices. The CTM will work closely together with our global R&D, QA/RA and marketing organizations to develop and execute trials for regulatory approvals and new claims. They will also take part in building relationships with and connecting to researchers in the field who wish to conduct research on Oticon Medical products within their own institutions (IIR Studies). The  CTM develops study protocols, informed consents, case report forms, specifies electronic data capture (EDC) configurations per study as well as the required study support documents (manuals, training tools, source document worksheets). Collects and reviews essential regulatory documentation prior to study initiation and during study to assure regulatory compliance.  Interfaces with national regulatory bodies (e.g FDA, Health Canada) and local ethics boards (IRB/REC). Manages a research budget Moreover, you will be involved in further improvements of the internal processes and procedures for clinical trials. The CTM is responsible for developing the clinical and technical skills of the field team at large, customer support personnel as well as a variety of professionals (e.g. surgeons, clinicians, referral sources etc). There is a very high degree of detail that must be executed correctly throughout the coordination process. Applicants must be extremely organized and be able to plan and execute in an efficient manner. The care coordination process is often extremely fluid and dynamic, requiring an attitude of flexibility and quick-thinking to adapt to changing parameters. Sustained mental attention required. This position does have direct supervision but requires independent thinking and handling of unusual problems proceeding to the highest level. Personal assistant duties will also be required often as you will be working directly with executives at times.
